The College was delighted to receive a visit from the High Sheriff of Leicestershire on 9 March. Gordon Arthur, the High Sheriff and his wife Janet came to visit the College, speak to students and have a tour of the College. The day started with The High Sheriff joining staff and students in NewsDesk, the weekly College meeting. They then met and were briefed by College Principal, June Murray, who spoke about the College and how it had changed over the last 10 years. The High Sheriff and his wife then toured the different College enterprises, speaking to students in the College Office, Craft Studio, Ebay business and shop about the activities they were working on. They also heard about our new Conference Centre enterprise and soon to be launch cupcake business. Finally they sat down for tea, and of course, home-made cake, chatting with students about what the students liked about the College and how they'd progressed since joining. "A big thank you to Gordon Arthur, the High Sheriff of Leicestershire and his wife Janet, for visiting us. We enjoyed hearing about what he's achieved as High Sheriff, and having the opportunity to show him our enterprise learning environment. He also took the time to have tea and cake with a group of students which was a great chance for them to meet and communicate with new people."
