As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, RNIB College Loughborough held a Big Brew fundraising event. Traidcraft Big Brew is a nationwide initiative to host an event to raise awareness of fair trade during Fairtrade Fortnight. This event raised money for Traidcraft who work with some of the world's poorest farmers, producers and artisans, supporting them to work their way out of poverty. Staff and students from COST, the College's student led office organised and promoted the event, while The Art's Centre team created flower seed balls to give away for everyone that donated. It was a great success and over £100 was raised. There was a vibrant atmosphere as colleagues choose their complimentary seed ball and stopped for a hot drink.

'The event gave everyone a bit of information about fair trade, hopefully making students and staff stop and think when they are out shopping, as well as giving everyone the opportunity to come together for tea and cake.' Mary, COST Trainer.
