College Learner's dog welcome at mosque

Mahomed Khatri, an 18 year old learner at the College has become the first person in Britain to take a guide dog into a mosque.

Mahomed is now allowed to enter his place of worship with the help of guide dog Vargo, after the Muslim Law (Shariah) Council UK granted him permission through a Fatwa. The Islamic faith usually bans dogs from mosques. Mohammed's father Gafar Khatri said: "Now instead of being dependant on other people to take him places he can now go where ever he wants when he wants."
