On Tuesday 30 September we had Investors in people in College assessing our accreditation as an "investor in people". We are very pleased to announce that our accreditiation has been renewed.

Investors in People is a well-established and nationally-esteemed kitemark that assesses how well we organise and develop ourselves so that all of us can achieve our best. Our accreditation has been renewed for another 3 years. The assessor felt that:

• The level of involvement of staff in decisions - staff have a say in the running of the College.
• Staff feel valued for their contribution - there is strong team work - staff feel valued by management.
• The College has a clear strategy which gives clear direction to all staff - this has been communicated well to all staff.

This goes a long way to our aim of becoming an oustanding college by 2010.
