The RNIB College held the annual partnerships for employment awards on 17 June 2009. These awards recognise organisations from Leicestershire and beyond, who over the last year have helped college learners with disabilities find employment, work placements and gain other essential employment skills.

75% of blind and partially sighted people of working age are unemployed. With the help of local organisations the RNIB College has now been supporting people with disabilities into employment for the past 20 years.

This years winner were Imago Services.

Special recognition awards were presented to Sue Ryder and Dunelm Mill.

The internal placement award was presented to the College's premises team.
