On Thursday 7 March staff at RNIB College Loughborough met with Elliot Brown, Travel Assistant from Loughborough University's Sustainability Department. Elliot talked to staff throughout the morning about the opportunities available to join the Car Sharing Scheme. The scheme co-ordinates staff from Loughborough College, Loughborough University and now RNIB College to enable them to find out if staff members at any of the three organisations live in their local area. People living in the same neighbourhood can then get in touch to arrange a car share. Not only does this arrangement help individuals to keep their travel costs down but it also contributes towards the College's sustainability targets and ultimately reduces the impact of commuters on the local environment.

This event comes as part of climate week which takes place between 4 – 10 March and is just one of the many events taking place at the College to raise awareness and to introduce ways of improving our sustainability.
