College students ran a market stall at Loughborough Market on St George's Day. This was a first for the College, so everyone was very excited during the build up to the big day. The event and its preparation was a great opportunity for developing literacy, numeracy and communication skills in a fun, real environment, so it was a fabulous experience for everyone. Students sold handmade goodies such as soap, cards, and decorative gifts for the home, all made by the students. Visitors even had the opportunity to try and use the soap they'd made, in order to add an extra level of involvement to the stall. One market stall holder commented that it added a whole new dynamic to the market, making it a much livelier place.

Gillian our Arts Centre Trainer and Market stall organiser said, "What an absolutely amazing day, it was a great opportunity for our students to show case all of their hard work. There was a brilliant atmosphere, a fellow stall holder commented on how much livelier we made it! It was such a success that we are already planning our next one".
